This week in reception, we have been reading 'Owl Babies'. We have sequenced the story, role palyed ur favourite parts and wrote some key vocabulary! In maths, we have been partitioning numbers up to 6. In expressive Art & Design, we have been chalking autumnal pictures. In Understanding the World, we have been learning all about Diwali and listening to Diwalli inspired music - we even had a go at playing the instruments ourselves.

Reception went on their very first local walk! We went to our local woodland area just at the top of Wychnor. In Understanding the World, we have been looking at signs of Autumn, so we went to explore and collect some autumnal items. The children enjoyed searching for signs of Autumn and collected leaves of all different colours, spinning jennies and pinecones. We even saw mushrooms growing on logs and lots of moss! The children were amazing, as usual, and loved sliding down the mud and jumping in the muddy puddles along the way! 🍁🍂🌳🍄
