Online Safety
Learning about staying safe online is very important. At Harris we seek to ensure that our children have a good understanding of how to stay safe. Our children are growing up in a digital and diverse world. As they grow older, it is crucial that they learn to balance the benefits offered by technology with a critical awareness of their own and other’s online behaviour and develop effective strategies for staying safe and making a positive contribution online. At Harris Primary, we combine SCARF: Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience, Friendship sessions, PSHE and Computing sessions in order to enable our children to become responsible digital citizens. We provide our learners with the opportunity to develop these skills at different ages and stages throughout their time at our school.
