School Uniform
Autumn and Spring Term Uniform for all pupils
- light blue polo shirt or blouse or shirt
- dark grey trousers/shorts or dark grey skirt
- royal blue sweatshirt/ cardigan
- black shoes or plain black trainers
- grey or white socks
Summer Term Uniform
- As above or...
- Blue gingham dress
- White polo shirts and short grey trousers
For PE children will need:
- A plain white T-shirt
- A pair of plain navy shorts
- Trainers of pumps
- A plain navy or black tracksuit or the the Harris Logo tracksuit
Book bags
- Children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 require a blue book bag (available from school)
- Children in Year 3 - 6 are welcome to use a small rucksack to carry their books and belongings.
Watches
- Pupils are invited to wear a simple analogue or digital watch. We please ask that pupils do not wear Fitbits, iPhone watches or other forms of watches for school.
Hair
- Long hair should be tied back at all times.
- The school does not permit children to have ‘extreme’ haircuts that could serve as a distraction to other children.
Jewellery
In the interest of Health and Safety, jewellery - other than simple stud earrings - is not allowed. Only in exceptional circumstances, with agreement from the headteacher, can other jewellery be worn in School (for example medi-alert and religious artefacts). If a child does come into school wearing jewellery they will be asked to remove it.
The school does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of any jewellery or personal adornments worn.

Uniform suppliers
Our official uniform providers are Bang Bang Uniform Shop (Lancaster Road, Preston), Monkhouse (pop-up shop in Fishergate Centre), Smart Schoolwear (Lancaster Road, Preston) and Top One Uniform in St John's Shopping Centre. Uniform can also be ordered online from Monkhouse (http://www.monkhouse.com/c/288/Harris-Primary-Uniform) and My Clothing (https://myclothing.com/harris-primary-school/6406.school). Uniform items from these outlets contain our school logo but parents are free to purchase from other places if they so wish.
