Our School Council decided to take part in the Dolce Christmas Card competition where the winners could win an iPad and a pack of Christmas cards (with their design on) to send to family and friends. The School Council were responsible for presenting the competition to their class, explaining the instructions on how to enter and collecting the children's designs. Our lovely Harris Primary School kitchen staff chose the three finalists for the nationwide competition which were Zoe, Megan and Isla.

In December, we organised a Christmas Foodbank donation for Preston's Salvation Army to help those in need at Christmas. The Salvation Army provide help for people in need and support for local communities, including homelessness and emergency assistance. The School Council delivered a whole school assembly about foodbanks and who the Salvation Army are. Then, we created posters that we put up around school.

The School Council were amazed at the amount of food and toiletries that were donated. Thank you for your kind donations! After we received all of the donations, the school council helped pack all of the food so that it could be delivered to the foodbank.
